A temporary history

The Brewery Arts Heart (BAC) was founded in 1975 by a group of artists yearning for a place of their very own. Immediately after an extreme grassroot work, they raised the income to obtain the Historic Carson Brewery Enterprise, a person of Nevada’s oldest structures, and on June 9, 1979 their eyesight of an Artwork Heart turned a fact and the Brewery Arts Center was born.

That initial vision integrated studio room for visible artists, two galleries, a smaller black box theater, and a Grand Ballroom Exhibition Hall. Currently, the custom of producing space for artwork carries on and the BAC now encompasses 3 historic buildings on two city blocks in Carson City’s Historic West Side including a 250 seat Effectiveness Corridor.
