More than two years have passed since the last physical photo and video show took place in March 2019. There have been two virtual replacements in between, but having the opportunity to return to a physical event is an exciting suggestion. Anyone who has a ticket for the 2020 physical event can reissue the 2021 show pass at no additional cost.
With the latest and greatest photo kits, great show discounts, innovative tutorials, and inspirational talks, it looks like a weekend full of photo fun to suit every level.
Leading companies in the photographic industry, including Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Sigma and Sony, will be on display alongside the best accessory makers and the UK’s largest retailers.
The event is being held at NEC in Birmingham, which is easily accessible from all over the country. It also has its own train station. Enthusiasts can buy tickets now, but professionals (those who make most of their income from photos) can sign up for free tickets. Special student tickets are also available.
We’ve answered some of the main questions about the show below, including details on how to register, how organizers can secure Covid, and highlights of the show.
Photo Show FAQ
Before looking at some of the highlights of this year’s show, here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about photo shows.
Is there an admission fee for photo and video shows? If you are an enthusiastic photographer, a one-day ticket will cost £ 14.95 (standard) and £ 11.95 (concession) if booked in advance. You can also receive multi-day tickets (additional date of 50% discount).
Professional photographers can apply for a free pass that is subject to the verification process. You must be able to prove that you are getting most of your income from photo and video related activities.
Students working on a degree or equivalent in a photo, video, or directly related subject will be able to attend for free on Tuesday, September 21st. On other days, students can purchase tickets at a discounted rate.
Is my 2020 admission ticket valid for the 2021 show? Yes. If you already have a ticket for last year’s postponed show, you should have already been contacted about this. If the team does not contact you, you can fill out a special form. Other “extras” such as Master Class and Super Stage tickets should already be refunded.
Where is the show? The show is held at NEC in Birmingham and is located in Halls 2 and 3. Previous visitors should be aware that this is a different hall than the previous year.

This includes a COVID-19 status check at the entrance to the building (requires an NHS Covid pass, proof of immunity, or proof of negative test results), and encouragement of face covers and hand sanitizer stations throughout the venue. It will be.
Visitors are urged not to attend if they have symptoms of COVID-19. It is highly recommended to book your ticket in advance. We also strongly recommend that you notify the organizer of your estimated time of arrival so that you can manage your queues.

Major participating brands include Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Olympus, Sigma and Sony. Most of these have their own special talks and events that take place throughout the weekend. Here are some of the highlights revealed so far.
Canon
It seems likely that Canon will unveil the new Canon EOS R3, which will debut someday after the development announcement in April. The manufacturer will also host a series of talks, including an introduction to the R system, how to use video on the EOS R5 / 6, and a guide to large format printing. Canon photographers will also talk on topics ranging from storm chasing to family photography.
Nikon
You can also expect the Nikon Z9 to be exhibited at a photo exhibition. Nikon School will also attend this event and will talk on a wide range of topics, including composition, long exposures, portraits, and how to get the most out of your camera system.
Sony
According to the latest rumors, Sony’s next camera will be the A7 IV. This may not be in time for the show, but we keep crossing our fingers. Otherwise, Sony will hold a variety of talks on the stand, including the benefits of using Sony lenses, Instagram, and how to move from amateur to professional.
Fujifilm
Visitors to the show will be able to get the latest medium format camera, the Fujifilm GFX50SII, announced by the company a few weeks ago. Providing the masses with “affordable” medium format cameras will be a great opportunity to discover how small and light a camera is. FUJIFILM also hosts many talks on fashion and portraiture, street photography, and the importance of photography and videography.
When and where will the photo show be held?
Photo and video shows will be held at NEC from Sunday, September 18, 2021 to Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
