MURRAY – Murray State University’s Section of Artwork & Style and Murray Condition University Galleries will be presenting The Magic Silver Clearly show: The Elena Diane Curris Juried Images Exhibition, on perspective in the Clara M. Eagle Key Gallery from Sept. 8 via Oct. 18. The exhibition, which options 83 operates by 45 nationwide and worldwide artists, is an open-theme exhibition that showcases the work of regional, nationwide and worldwide artists working in all picture media, together with but not limited to classic black and white or color images, experimental or nontraditional light-weight sensitive procedures, electronic media, film and video.
The Magic Silver Present situations will include a juror communicate by artist Sherri Nienass Littlefield, having place Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. in home 623 of the Clara M. Eagle Gallery. This will be adopted by an opening reception.

The Magic Silver Display began in the mid-1970s as a juried exhibition developed to persuade, foster knowing, and reward those concerned in photographic media. The exhibition returns to Murray Point out under the sponsorship of Dr. Constantine and Jo Curris, and is in memory of their daughter, Elena. Dr. Curris was the sixth president of Murray Point out. The show is funded by an endowment to the visual arts by loved ones and good friends of Elena Diane Curris to memorialize her generous and adventurous spirit and to assist the power and status of the visual arts at Murray Point out. Elena acquired an affiliate diploma in communications from the Manner Institute of Technological know-how in New York and a bachelor’s diploma in advertising, communications and images from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. In excess of the training course of her vocation, Curris labored with the Mirabella magazine, the Ralph Lauren Corporation and California Condition College at Prolonged Beach. She also maintained a lifelong enthusiasm for photography and the arts.
Magic Silver Demonstrate juror Sherri Nienass Littlefield is a New York Town based mostly curator and photographer intrigued in knowledge, collaborative tasks, and the use of contemporary art toward social superior. Littlefield was the director of Foley Gallery from 2016-2019, and was the Interim Director of ClampArt in 2020.
