The list isn’t comprehensive by any means – in fact it’s quite brief considering how long it could be – but these are a few personal favorites which I think are important and was led to by talking to other artists, learning what their favorite art supplies and tools are, and many years of trial and error on my own.

Colourful Interior Design I Maximalism is On Trend I Boha Glass

Seeking Validation and Earning Credibility as an Artist

Or, somewhat, false validation from social media.

It is real, and I loathe indicating this, that the more followers you have, the extra probably I am to pay attention to you and your art simply because others have offered you their thumbs up at some level. 

And your social feed is extra possible to retain my interest if it emphasizes artwork as the heart of your everyday living. Art, artwork, and extra artwork. That is what I want to see from an artist who seeks reflection and important attention.

Even so, we have to admit that there is a bogus feeling of validation from social media. I imagine Sara Schroeder felt that when she talked about wanting to be “more than an Instagram artist.” She grew her Instagram adhering to rapidly and had to get a step (or two) again to contemplate what she seriously preferred from her art.

Nearly 100 Maya Masterpieces Are Now on View in New York City

At a current preview of The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibition Life of the Gods: Divinity in Maya Artwork, people marveled quietly at substantial relief stoneworks and painted ceramic vessels excavated from lost metropolitan areas deserted all through the Traditional Maya collapse. The galleries have been softly lit if not totally dark — opening the flooring for the centuries-previous will work to converse for on their own.

The Met’s new show, structured in collaboration with Fort Worth’s Kimbell Artwork Museum, features dozens of large- and little-scale sculptures documenting the histories and existence levels of numerous Maya deities throughout the Vintage time period (250–900 CE).
