Chuck Hamm co-owned the airplane with his cousin, George Sheasley. Sheasley had taken off from the Eagle Nest Ranch airport close to Estacada in the afternoon of March 18, 2020.

“If there was not neighbors there at the time of the incident, he would’ve burnt to loss of life in the plane.” Hamm said, “They ended up in a position to get him out of the plane and the plane burnt down to a hulk.
